Wow Rick, these three random pieces of evidence blow the entire global warming theory out of the water.
Please inform the scientific world community of this great find. With your help we will show the world that global heating is the brain child of 99 % of the scientific community and that it has nothing to do with reality. It was conjured by a bunch of intellectuals who never go out drinking beer in the back yard and that is why they don't know what is going on.

Everybody knows that global warming can lead to global cooling. 8)

Look it up, I'm serious.

Re: Temps at Elmira, NY Airport

Over the contiguous United States, annual mean 1998 temperatures averaged 1.2°C above the 1961_90 mean, which is the nation's second warmest year in the historical record (Fig. 5b ). Temperatures over the eastern half of the country averaged 1.0°2.0°C above normal for the year as a whole, while below-average temperatures were confined to the far West (Fig. 4). Eleven states located mainly in the Midwest and the Northeast set annual record temperatures during 1998, and 22 states recorded annual temperatures that ranked in the top five of the 104-year record dating back to 1895 (Fig. 6). California was the only state to record below-average annual mean temperatures during the year. It is interesting to note that the overall warmth observed over the United States during the 1980s and 1990s is comparable to that recorded during the 1920s and 1930s.

Is that what Algor told you to say? Do you have anything to back this load up? I'm not talking about some guy with a PHD. in Communications, or some computer geek with a climate model he is promoting... I'm talking PHD's in the field of climate studies, Atmospheric Physics, a Professor of Meteorology. Any field that is related to the subject on hand.

Here, I'll start.....

Global Warming, as we think we know it, doesn't exist. And I am not the only one trying to make people open up their eyes and see the truth. But few listen, despite the fact that I was one of the first Canadian Ph.Ds. in Climatology and I have an extensive background in climatology, especially the reconstruction of past climates and the impact of climate change on human history and the human condition. Few listen, even though I have a Ph.D, (Doctor of Science) from the University of London, England and was a climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg. For some reason (actually for many), the World is not listening. Here is why.
*********************************************************************

Another cry in the wildenerness is Richard Lindzen's. He is an atmospheric physicist and a professor of meteorology at MIT, renowned for his research in dynamic meteorology - especially atmospheric waves. He is also a member of the National Academy of Sciences and has held positions at the University of Chicago, Harvard University and MIT. Linzen frequently speaks out against the notion that significant Global Warming is caused by humans. Yet nobody seems to listen.

That's two, your turn.

BTW, this is a pretty good read on why Global warming is causing so much hysteria.

Scientists Disagree

While each of the above claims from non-scientists received significant media coverage, leading climatologists spent the month of June rebutting such proclamations.

Atmospheric physicist S. Fred Singer, professor emeritus of environmental sciences at the University of Virginia and former director of the U.S. Weather Satellite Service, sent a letter to the editor of USA Today directly refuting its claim. "Your editorial ... claim the global warming debate is over. Not so," wrote Singer.

Singer wrote, "Sea level will continue to rise by only seven inches per century as it has for thousands of years no matter what we do or what the EPA [U.S. Environmental Protection Agency] says. And temperatures in the next 100 years will likely rise by less than one degree F--not exactly a catastrophe."

Added Singer in a subsequent letter to the Canadian media, "Thousands of scientists from many countries now fully understand that Kyoto and other efforts to control human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are ineffective and entirely unfounded scientifically.

"Even if you ignore the enormous cost of Kyoto (estimated recently by Prof. George Taylor of Oregon State University--see http://www.sitewave.net/news/s49p628.htm--at one trillion U.S. dollars a year for full implementation in OECD countries), climate science research is rapidly moving AWAY from the hypothesis that the human release of greenhouse gases, specifically CO2, is in any way significantly contributing to global climate change."

Come on all of you alarmists.... this is three.

Show at least some data, real data from real scientists in the biz to justify your hysteria.

Here's an 100 year graph on St/ Louis. It looks like they have warmed up to where they used to be during this climate cycle.

Re: Temps at Elmira, NY Airport

Give it up, there will always be people that want to believe the worst.... want to believe that the "hole" in the ozone layer is the end to Mankind, want to believe that a hole in the Atlantic crust is some kind of sign. want to believe that Global Warming is more than just the planet adjusting to lower than normal temps.

Next thing you know, these dooms day prophets will declare that the normal activity in the "Ring of Fire" is all to do with Moon cycles, eclipsed by Mars descending :p.
