have a 17ft 1969 woodson tri hull, how would I go about checking to see if the foam under the floor is water logged without ripping up the floor?? it has a 1" hole in the bilge across from the drain hole in the transom. nothing seems to be runnig out,I stuck a screwdriver thru it and its free. motor is good, but the boat is a pos and I just need to get by with it for another year..

i usually take a 2 in holesaw, and drill, cut a hole in floor, then notch the end of a 1 inch piece os pvc pipe. twist the pvc into the foam, push out core. it will be obvious. if dry put plug back in with 3M 5200.
