Test Tank Maintenance

This winter I get the joyous task of painting our 2-place test tank. I'm planning on using a brush-on epoxy paint and primer. Any other suggestions involving method or product that might work better would be appreciated. The original inside finish appears to be varnish. Is that a realistic choice?

We have always used Rustoleum paint. ( I probably spelled that wrong)

We use a Sherman-Williams Polane B polyurethane. This stuff is tough to say the least. This would be the last time you paint it.

Use what the boss says to use, just in case.
