testing 1986 evinrude rectifier

need to check rectifier , new stator need to know out put of rectifier. yellow wires are ac, red dc? what are the voltages. think this is problem tach out.

have 19.48 ac volts on the two yellow wires the battery has 12.35 and goes up to slowly when turn up the start lever after a minute its up to 12.53 and climbimg slowly is this correct?

Okam... They made a lot of engines in 1986. What is the make, model, and horsepower? Is your rectifier the water cooled model or the smaller three (3) wire model?

its a 1986 model E140TLCDC serial # G1134300, thats for the response joe. another question, I removed the baffle on the carbs to check the sync of butterflies started it at idle and it appears to be fuel spiting out the upper jet on the carb bodies is this normal?
