Testing oil injection pump 1993 200trxx

After the temp alarm went off and warning system activated(rpms less than 2000),I replaced thermostats ,new water pump kit,bypass valve ,but the alarm still went off and revs limited to 2000rpms. Just went through the whole oil injection system, cleaned engine tank and filter, cleaned remote tank(had a quarter inch of sludge at the bottom of the tank) and replaced the remote tank filter. The remote tank filled the engine tank in under three minutes,all alarms work well.I was testing the oil injection system to see if functioning. I removed the oil injection pump,hoses and cleaned them well. I then ran the engine on a 50-1 tank and measured the oil flow at each hose . The seloc manual states 3.1-3.7 cc/3min ? but doesn't say at what rpm or what position the oil pump lever should be at . I tested it at 1500 rpms with the lever at maximum and got the 3.5 cc in 3 minutes was this the correct way . Thank you.

Does anybody know what the flow rate of the oil infection pump should be ? and at what rpm to test, and oil injection pump lever setting ?? (yamaha 1993 200trxx) Thanks again

George,<br />My manual says 2.6-4.0 cc, in 3 minutes at 1500rpm.<br />Sounds like your in the ballpark!<br />Oh yea... pump lever wide open.<br />Cheers... Canuck 16.
