testing prop under load

What type of equipment is needed to test a prop under a load. I remember there used to be something that was able to test the prop under a load in a test tank. I think my prop is slipping. I have a 1977 Johnson 140. Also can anyone tell me of some diagnostic software that would cover most marine engines, something like ALL DATA but for marine engines.

Use a waterproof marker and draw a line across the hub and onto the prop itself. Then go out and run the motor under load and see if the mark moves. If it does, the hub is spun.
