Testing trigger switch on '95 40hp mercury 2 stroke

Rusty here again
The Problem is..... was running the boat planed off when it started to misfire, so putted back to the dock. Found that # 1 &2 cylinders Didn't have spark ! huh. #1 coil & plug wire checked out ok on multimeter. So now need to check trigger, switch box & stator ?? I've read & viewed U tube videos just enough to be dangerous.....

Ok Thanks, Found that 1/2 the stator was bad using a multimeter, causing 2of the 4 cylinders to not have spark

Back to Minnesota for 3 weeks & will buy & install new stator upon return
