I have the motor out of my Bayliner and was wondering how or if you can test the trim motor and functions on the shifter? I hooked the panel under the dash up to 12 volts and can get everything else in the boat to work except the trim. I know I could bench test the trim motor itself but I'd like to find out if the up/down and trailer buttons on the shifter are working properly. I recently aquired the boat in not running condition.

It ended up being a fuse on the pump assembly. It wasn't blown but broken. The up function and trailer buttons work but it will not go down?
