A few weeks ago I joined to see if I could figure the problem with my 93 Evinrude problem. Would not get on plane without staying on the choke.
Never even posted a question. Just read through similar posts.
After reading through posts and viewing some linked videos I got two carb. rebuild kits, new fuel line connect(on the motor) and a clear fuel filter.
It runs pretty much fantastic!
Aside from some varnish and flakes in the float bowls I found a nasty looking wad of 'stuff' on the screen right at the fuel pump and fuel line connector was loose and leaking a bit even with new hose connections.
I do have some questions about tweaking it and will start a new thread but wanted to say thanks and well done!
I took some pics of the process and will post some up when time allows. Hopefully be helpful to others.
