Thanks all for your help and guidance regarding my charger. My decision is to scrap the whole boat minus any parts I can sell. My back injury vs amount of work involved proved too much this time and put a stop to everything. I learned so much on here and will be back lurking in the back reading answers. Thanks again!

Keep track of your username and password, Glaze. You may pick up another less challenging boat needing minor work and we will still be here to help out.

Take care of yourself and hope the back improves.

Take care of your self Glaze,I know what it is to have a back injury,I been suffering with one since 2006 and 5 back surgeries and to this day I am still having issues with my back..Take it easy and like GA_boater mentioned maybe later when you feel better you can find something that is less work for you to work on..

With the amount of work needed to repair the Charger Scrapping it is not the worst decision you could make ... Hope your back gets better ! My back pain comes and goes .... It would be fine for several months then I might sneeze or tie my shoe and it goes out again ...
You might consider a tin boat ... A lot less work getting them ready to go ...
Wait ..... did I say TIN boat !

Thanks! I agree that there is many almost ready to go rigs I can choose from that would be fun to paint up and easily mod.

I've had 3 surgerys on mine. This last one seems to have worked. Boats needing some work are a dime a dozen. Once you're all healed up I'm sure you'll find another one and now you have a lot of knowledge gained to give you a better start;)
