Just had my bayliner out for the first time yesterday. Had spun the intermediate bearing spring '09. Pulled the engine, replaced the bellhousing, and fixed allot of other things in the process.

Got her in the water, putted around for a while, then ran to the other side of the lake. Just as I was coming back down to idle we lost oil pressure, and turned off the engine. Pulled the engine cover and the bilge was full of oil. After looking for a minute found that the oil pan drain plug had fallen out. I guess we must have overlooked tighting it, OOps. Luckly a friend was on his way and picked some more up on his way and droped it off. Refilled and all was good. Since every thing was sealed we were able to keep the leaked oil in the bilge untill getting home.

Other than that ran great all day.

Just wanted to thank everyone here for all the help over the last year!

I would like to 2nd no704 Thanks! I just replaced my outdrive that had stripped top end gears with a SEI SE106 drive and had problems with the shifting. But Thanks to everyone here the boat has never shifted better. It shifts smoothly and is now installed correctly. The PO tightened down the set screw on the shift slide and did not have a safety wire on the set screw.

SO THANKS!

I would not be able to afford a boat without this forum and it's users providing very helpful feedback and advice.

Ditto for me. I'm a do-it-yourself working stiff family guy with an old boat and a tight budget. And there aren't any honest repair shops in my area. Thanks to this forum, and iboats parts, I can keep the boat running and the family fun in the ON position. Much appreciated.
