i just wanted to say thanks for everyones help on my 72 johnson. these electric shifts could be pretty tricky but i got em all figured out now. after testing the ohms for the solinoids i found that one was grounded out. i traced the problem down to the clamp that hold the wire down in the lower unit.the clamp cut into the wire causing a ground and making the fuses blow out.i ended up taping the wire up because it was meerly damaged. only the rubber was broken. i now get foward neutral and reverse. thanks for everyones help i really appreciate it. now i can get the boat out in the water for laborday weekend. thanks again
