After 2 solid months of work I finally got to test my boat this weekend. I'd like to thank everyone who helped in this endevor, I couldn't have done it without the help on this board and the search function. Too many to name and I'd probably forget some but a lot of them were the "usual suspects".

Went through the engine and put in new rings, lifters and oil pump and had the head machined and pressure tested. Pressure tested the block and risers. Replaced the entire gimbal assembly with a good used one. Went through the hydraulics and electrics and changed the impeller. Even managed to bend my upper shift lever but I had a spare.

Happy to say it's running pretty darn good. After a bit of running I took it up to 3500 rpm and it sounded very nice. Managed to get it to cavitate and it very briefly got to 5000 rpm so I guess I got the burs of the rings.

Now I just have to fix the cavitaion problem and a slow power trim going down problem, but that's another topic.
