And i thank you for demonstrating how to tie a floor into a hull. That is what makes this forum so unique. Lots of minds searching for answers, finding solutions and buying them from a ..........certain provider.... ;)

Never thought of using a heat gun. That came out really well!

I got me a heatgun to remove pinstriping.
Good thing I kept it. Now I have the tool for the corners. :)

Showoff! :) LOL
How is the foam/vinyl placed between the colors? The blue and white? In other words how did you get that great seam?
That looks very professional!

Re: Thanks Tail_gunner Uphostery on seat corners

Imagination, what you see as blue is 1 inch foam, took a electric knife and round the foam and laid it down on a full length. Then i took 1/2 inch and again rounded it, from there i took 1/2 board and cut the white pattern you see streched the vinyl (heated). So its a two peice const. Hmm ok 1 long frame _________________ made a form of foam what you see as blue. then what you see as white _______ sits on top of that long frame or base. Only its 1/2 inch foam stapled to a 1/2 inch frame. Then i just bolted the smaller white frame to the larger blue. Notice the wood on the ends, thats where the laying down of the white template takes place.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hmm so you used two pieces of wood. I need to simulate that great look on 1 piece of wood.

I have a sample from the old side of my boat. I will really have to go out and look at it. I guess I should take it apart to see how Bayliner did theirs.

Hmm litlle side note here, when reusing old foam or the existing foam its wise to steam it out. If this is done, the size of your foam will greatly increase and fit by far better. No steamer well thats not a problem just take a water bottle and spray a fine mist over the foam then take a iron and iron away. That will take any depression's out and restore the foam to its oringal size. Its worth the time and trouble.
