Took my flat bottom out to the lake today. I have always wondered why somebody bolted a 2x4 to the floor, now I know.

at speeds around 30 on choppy water, the rear of the floor flex's like crazy.

Not bad, but noticeable.

You can stand on the floor and jump around and it feels solid as hell. put speed on it and its wobbly.

This normal for a 15' flat bottom?

Is the floor/deck glassed together with the sides of the boat? This is done for structure, maybe that is why you get the flex.....
Somebody will come along and back me up OR let you know that I am way off here! lol
