Him wrestling with that trolling motor is a classic.

Here's my favorite one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_UnV3RbCtg

When things like that happen to me I have a much more colorful vocabulary than Bill does. I think I learned all those words from my grandaddy the day he threw his new anchor overboard with no line attached to it.

I don't see how Bill restrains himself sometimes.:D

HOLY COW !!!

I wasn't there for it, but have heard the story 100's of times. My Grandfather served as a Gunner's Mate on the Heavy Cruiser USS Wichita. He came out of the merchant marine to run convoy on the Witch through the North Atlantic, mostly to Murmansk. After Operation Torch, the Witch (and my grandfather) served the rest of the war in the South Pacific. He came out after 1945 as a Chief.

When he came home, my grandmother and her sister and husband took him out in thier motoryacht to celebrate his return. My father ( a young boy at the time ) had been playing with the anchor, and had somehow undone the shackle. My grandfather threw out that anchor with no line too !

Man he was clobbered for being the big bad veteran navy chief that threw that. I can sympathize for your grandfather.
