This is what it looked like as of yesterday evening in Alabama (the temp was 30 degrees with a windshield of 25). It doesn't help living on a mountain............

Look closely and you can see the snow falling. But all the snow is gone as of today . Although there are allot of things I miss about New York (where I am originally from), but the weather is one of the things I don't miss. Keep the 0 degree weather up there by all means .
