Went fishing on Sunday, just had some worms from the last outting with me.
I caught 5 fish......woot.
1st was a small catfish & then a yellow looking fish, I think a shellcracker, is what they are called here in Florida.
I changed lakes going thru the Dora Canal to Lake Eustis.
At the spot, I saw an old friend of mine in his boat.
He was with his son and nephew.
He gave me some pointers on fishing for Brim (sp?).
Grass Shrimp is the hot bait for these. They fix a weighted leader with a hook set up about 12" from the end. They cast and let it sink to the bottom and slowly reel it in.
They were pulling up fat fish left and right.
I caught 3 specks fishing the bottom with the worms I had.
I tried the leader casting method with the worms but the fish werent interested in them.

I used grass shrimp on the last outting but I didnt cast and reel it in.

Finicky Florida Fish......

Re: The Curse is Lifted....

congrats! pound for pound, bream are one of the hardest-fighting freshwater fish, IMHO, and the tastiest after crappie. a blast to catch on ultra-light tackle.
