That is to say, as in the rebuild is complete. Many new wear parts replaced, pistons, rings, all engine bearings, most driveshaft bearings and gear case bearings too. Unfortunately there is still 2+ feet of ice on Newfound Lake at present and I'm going on a road trip late May and into June so the motor won't be hung and started until sometime in July. I'll admit I'm not the most technically brightest bulb out there but I will try to enlist my brainiac nephew to get a vid of the event including initial start in a barrel and on the water also. Thank's to everyone who helped. - Pete

Quick question. With the motor not running can I test the Selectric Shift ? If I supply 12V to the green (forward) wire will I hear anything in the gear case and will the prop lock? Same question but with supplying 12V to blue (reverse) wire. Or is this a bad idea? - Pete

Go ahead and test it.------12 volts to green prop should drag slightly and bind up if you turn the prop CCW----Opposite if 12 volts is put to blue.

I checked it out this way this morning and pleased to find it worked as advertised! Thank's. - Pete
