Here are some pictures of my new project. Yes it's a Bilgewhiner. It belonged to one of my tenants; I got a letter from the city stating there was an unregistered vessel on the property. I called the tenants and he said he just didn't have the time to fix it, wanted to know if I knew anyone to take it. I went and looked at it, I like the lines, and the swim step area in the back is cool. With some hard work, this will be a pretty cool ride. I'll post photos as the tear-down and subsequent rebuild ensues. Oh yea, the tenant gave me a full box of mat and roving as well as 3 gallons of fiberglass. It looks like I'll be using all of it!

There is a 125HP Force on the back; I'm personally not too keen on the Force. It started me thinking though: My current boat would do nicely with a 200HP, then I would have a well-running 150HP to hang on this one... MyuaaahaaaaahaaaaHa

Great idea Tashasdaddy, this would be a great e-bay motor, the trim/tilt is intact; I haven't checked compression yet.

The cement block is one of those unknowns, couple of plastic consoles laying inside that I just can't figure out the origin of either.

I like the fact the inside is gutted, I don't have any preconceived notions of what it should look like. I can do whatever I want with it. The fuel tank and batteries are as far astern as they can possibly be, I think I will move the fuel tank forward during the rebuild. The dashboard is in great shape, but all of the gauges and switches are completely shot.

I don't know if you saw my other post But I am going to be down your way this weekend. Indian Rocks that is. Going to AJ's (Largo, I think) on Sunday to watch the Games and have a cold one.

not sure what the value will be "all fixed up", but i DO see $0.10 of value in getting the deposit back on those nice beer bottles thrown into the boat! NICE touch.

Good luck. I agree with the "no preconceived ideas" on the interior - I'm fighting that right now in deciding what to do with my boat over the winter.

Bottles have no value in FL :'( No deposit no return. Only upside to it is St.Petersburg burns all their trash and generates electricity, which runs the incinerator plant and the extra is sold back to the power company. I always admired that!!

Cool Danpemby, I know AJ's. I'll have to stop by and see if the Bucs are gonna play this week. Maybe Chris Sims can throw the ball OVER not TO the defenders this week!!!

TMH, if you can't put it in the water over the winter, tear it apart and rebuild it!!!
