Fishing along the rocky shores of Cape Ann produce some of the best and biggest striped bass along the East coast. This prized fish leave the Chessapeake Bay area and the majority of these sought after game fish spend May - September here. The smallest fish was 38 inches and the largest 45 inches. We had caught ten fish in about three hours of fishing and the four of us kept one fish apiece and released six. In Massachusetts the recreational fisherman can keep two fish a piece over 28". Check the state that you are fishing in because some states have slot limits.

i sure would like tocatch fish like that.i cant even catch a cold rite lol

A few of us catch fish like them and bigger most days. And we do screw up and catch smaller fish at times in the 24" -36" class. All recreational striped bass in Massachusetts must be over 28" to keep and allowed two fish per person per day.
