I took her out on a local lake to see how the prop, controls, etc, were working. Ran her for about a half hour through out the power range, and in reverse.
She did great, put her back on the trailer and have spent the last two weekends trying to get her ready for crabbing and fishing.
Most of the wiring is done, kicker mounted, just need to install my FF, bilge switch, and buff her out, been years, maybe decades, since she got purddied- upped :joyous:
I think I will take her and the wife out in the Sound this weekend, she be great, well heck, she has a porta potty now......

Nice looking boat but seems like a lot for a single axel trailer.

Nice ride Eddie! I've always had a love for those old Glasspar's. That one original?

Thanks bonz, yes, what you see it from 1959, except the trailer and motors, a new deck and transom, and I just finished re-wiring her to todays standards.
All systems go for tomorrow, as my wife wants to escape this heat, 90 degrees here on the island, a few less on the water, which is way high for us.
Here is a pix of the bilge pumping away....

Nice boat! I had a 17 foot 1966 model back in the mid-90s. Neat old boat with a great ride. Wish I'd kept that one.

She is in the books.....
Slid right off the trailer like a lab to water.

Had to search to find a place to park the trailer in this crowd.....

Yep.....look at the masses.

First mate was eager for the skipper to get er' going.....

The wench trying to escape..... ARrrrrrr,,,

She ran great, kicker too, ran her for and hour or so and it looks like I spent about 3 gallons, not sure on that.

She slid right back onto the trailer, centers herself perfect.

I think I need some more weight up front, but boy she cut the chop around the point like a warm knife and butter.
My wife loves it, after the whaler bounce, which made her quit going crabbing with me, I am glad she is back

eddie looks like the 2 of you had a terrific day! I too hate those crowded ramps.
