My friend and I just got a 1994 center console boat with what we are told is a 1999 115 Hp merc.

The title has no make or model of the boat and neither does the registartion, just a hull number, how can I find the brand of boat??

I cannot find a plate with a serial number for the motor where else shall I look???

Re: The Unknown Boat and Motor Year

If you have the hull id # the first 3 digits are the manufacturer and the last 2 are usually the year.

Once you have the manufacture code look it up here http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic_database.htm which is the Coast Guard data base.

For the motor have you looked around on the engine under the cowl? Normally there is a plate on the engine bracket seen from the outside.

look in the mercury forum, there is a post "classic 50 serial number" that post has a picture of where you can find it on the engine block lower right side (looking from the rear.

From the USCG link I found the boat is made by Cador-Mat in Quebec Canada and it is a 1996 model
Does anyone have any other info this brand of boat?
