I removed the autoblend system from my 1987 115 HP Mariner and just wanted to check to make sure the wiring is okay. It was a couple harness from the autoblend unit, tan, purple and black wires. Black was just a ground, the tan went the temp sensor at the block beside number 1 cylinder and the purple was plugged into a purple in the main wiring harness. I simply removed all the wiring and unplugged the purple.

Already premixed the gasoline in the fuel tank (Don't worry)

Is it okay to leave like this or do I need a jumper somwhere?

Thanks,
Dave

As long as you don't get an alarm sounding, you should be all right, I think.

Nope no alarms just the opposite. When the system was installed I always got an audible beep for about 3 seconds when you first turned the key on, but now there is nothing. The purple wire has 12 volts on it when the key is on if that means anything.

Be sure to leave the wire from the OT switch on the head and the tan wire on the terminal strip. That's your overheat alarm.
