1972 omc stern drive 225 horsepower right now I have a external regulator if I put a 01 wire alternator on there with an internal regulator what wiring changes do I have to make .

If you bought an alternator like this one:

One thick wire that you already have to starter solenoid/battery.
One wire to ignition
One wire to the battery if you want external sense otherwise to the same wire as ignition.

I would use this type over a self exciting one wire alternator. One wires take higher RPMs before they self excite.
