Hello guys! I hope everyone's is on plane at wot!
Well thanks to you guy's I finally finish my winter project. Even the L/U job went quite well. I notice doing my repairs that the thermostat was missing:eek: Could it be the previous owner ran it without one! If so what problems would it cause execpt for constant water circulating?

You don't need one! The engineers that designed the engine decided it really wasn't necessary to have a thermostat but finished the job too early and decided to add it just to look busy! Now if you believe that, I also have a bridge for sale. Yes -- by all means install the thermostat.

How much for the Bridge? LOL!!!
I went to order one today online and could not figure out the part by #
I think it is 1042 or something like that. am not sure if it is a 3/4 or 1" but I figure 130 degrees sound right. What do you think Slivertip?

You would not believe how many people think that way and believe. Frightening actually.

130 degrees sounds about right for an outboard. Can't help with the diameter.
