It mightn't be news to a lot of people, but I've just found out that there are tools called stud removers that grip studs or broken bolt shanks. Different sorts around, but all do the same job. Auto tool or decent tool shops should be able to supply.

Unfortunately they won't help free the stud, so it'll probably just break inside the hole. Then you can use this, if you believe their advertising, and keep on doing it until you've got it all out.

http://dkenterpriseinc.com/generic.html?pid=12

Looks like a pretty slick process if it works. It'll probably require some practice though. I've got to the point that when I twist a bolt or stud off, I load it up and take it to my buddy (mate) who has the machine shop and let him worry with it. That way, I have time to worry about other stuff. ;)

g'luck & c/6

Hooty

Hooty
