Thermostat? 1978 merc 1150 115 horse with serial 5054060

does this motor have a thermostat? if so where would it be and how do I get to it. Im new to this motor and trying to replace cooling items. Thanks for the help

That motor does not have a thermostat.

Hello:<br /><br />I have a 1979 140 and to my knowlege there is not a thermostate on Mercs until after mine. I have yet to find one.<br /><br />Craig
