Thermostat 35hp evinrude ???

My motor is running hot. It has plenty of flow from the tell-tale, but it is very hot. I suspect it's the thermostat. Could someone tell me where it's located. How to remove or check. Any other suggestions ?<br /><br />Thanks

How do you know it is running hotter than it should be? Could be thermostats or need a water pump or have a restriction somewhere. <br /><br />Suggest you start by buying a manual for your engine or hitting the library. It will show you where stuff is and how to troubleshoot. Also spend some time reading the posts on this site and using the Search function.
