Do I need to order a gasket for my small outboard or if the gasket is in good shape can I remove it and use it as a guide to cut one out of gasket material.

Im sure I coould buy one but am finding the local dealer is trying to retire off of my parts.

Its finally peeing. I think I was so paranoid about it over heating I never let it get hot enuff to open the thermosate.

Is it common once you idle it and remove the gas line to burn the gas that it will cool off enuff to stop peeing, or is it suppose to keep squirting the whole time.

You guys are great to put up with my stupid questions! ;)

Re: Thermostat gasket.

Make your own gasket..No problem! Running the gas out is what I do..Some people will dissagree. But put stabilizer in the tank and keep the gas for next year.. :)
