Hello all:
I am new to iboats...hope to get some help. I was given a boat from my wife's sister and as you well know nothing is free. It has a mercruiser 470...I did the basic maintenance and got the engine to run, but now the engine overheats. I know very little about boats so this is certainly a learning experience. I have replaced the impeller, housing, etc. I have pulled off the heat exchanger and there does not appear to be any flow restriction within this unit. I have a hunch it may be the thermostat, but for the life of me I can't locate it. Can someone help with this hopefully simple issue? Or where a diagram of it's location can be attained?
