I am going to be replacing my thermostat. Do I need to or should I use gasket sealant or any other lubricant when replacing?

regards

eurolarva,

I know how to put the thermostat together but I'm wondering if I need to put gasket sealant on the gasket when I do.

thanks for the reply.

The gasket is all you should need. If it does leak you could use a non hardening permatex. I dont like to use them however because it makes it a lot harder to replace it the next time.
