Maybe you don't have one. Merc did without for a very long time; smart thinking; reliability; no stat, no sticking stat, no overheating reliability problem.....like I had with my '75 OMC 70 hp with it's $1000 stat. <br /><br />I had an '89 115 tower and if I had one it wasn't on the water jacket on top of the heads where they are now. Had it for quite a few years and never changed it nor had a problem.....must not have been one. So with that said, where's yours......bet you don't have one.<br /><br />Mark
