Looking up the T-STAT parts for my 2000 5.7 carb. Are sierra parts just as good as the Mercruiser parts? Or go MERCRUiser ONLY?

27-530451 Gasket
27-806871 O-Ring
23-806922 Sleev (Mine was bent along the edges from PO causing a trickle leak around the T-stat housing.

Thanks!

Re: Thermostat replacement

I've been told by long time boating friends who do a ton of repairs that Sierra and Mercruiser are exactly the same spec'd out parts.
