I have a 454 ci. there are two hoses that go into the thermostat houseing that have a spring loaded Ball in each of them. Also the houseing has TWO thermostat sending units ? Whats up with all this ?

Actualy, those hoses come "Out" of the t-stat housing... Check-valves..... <br />And just a Guess, 1 Temp sender for the gauge,+ the other Maybe for the EFI ???

Other sender is for hot horn if equipped.

Yes it does have a hot horn. Thanks. What are the little Balls with springs ? Are these the thermastats ? Or are they some kind of presser valve ? Do I need a thermastat. There isn't one in the houseing. But it has a place for one. Iwas wondering if the little balls are some kind of thermastat ? :confused:

I told you,.... They Are Check-Valves....<br />Yes, you Should have a T-stat...<br />140* for raw water cooling....<br />180* for Freshwater Cooling......<br />The Little Balls Are Check-Valves......
