thermostat

I am new to boating, I have a 1975 Johnson 115hp the water flow is weak. I had a freind tell be to check if the thermostat to see if it was stuck. I bought a selok manual for motor but it does say any thing about a thermostat . Can anyone tell me where to locate the thermostat on the motor.

How do you know its weak? How much water pressure do you have? If this motor is new to you and / or you are unsure of the last cooling system service, now is the time to do it. A new pump kit (complete), head agskets, deflectors and thermostats is a good idea.<br /><br />The T-stat is located at the rear of the adaptor housing and has a hose from each head running to it.<br /><br />Good luck!
