I've been tinkering with my 120 Johnson. It's a model #J120TLAEM, serial 302306410 if this is needed. I did plugs, lower unit oil, and cleaned and tighten coil mountings and ground wires. Hooked it up to water and after running a few minutes, one head was warm to the touch, the other would burn you. I have a good stream of water out the discharge port and plenty coming out the exhaust as well. I let the motor cool down and took out both t-stats. The one on the hot side was stuck closed. The warm side was stuck open. I'll get new t-stats tomorrow. The big question I have is, If the t-stat was stuck for awhile, what kind of damage could it have done?
Coul this have caused a miss? The motor runs great, wot rpm is 5800 and is pushes my 17'Javalin about 48-50mph . I checked the compression and all cylinders were 125-130psi. All help and wisdom is greatly appreciated.

Remember, the first apostles were fishermen.
