Thermostats??????????????

Hello i have a 18hp johnson from 1960 how can you tell if i have one. Not sure where they are at on a boat motor? If you could let me know how to find one on my engine thanks.

Do you know the model number ?. If so you can search here -

There should be a thermostat under a cover on the top of the cylinder head.

It is part #38 on page 8 of THE PARTS CATALOG

Hello mine is fd-14 and thanks for the page and number reference do all of these have them and are they easy to change?
