A couple days ago the quickstart feature stopped working. On a cold start it idles 300-500. After it warms idles to specs. on a warm start it does the same 300-500 thing again. Instead of revving high for a few seconds like it's supposed to. Now the big problem. Returning to the dock yesterday, running 3/4 throttle, then slowed for another boat. put the trottle down to wide open. Rmp's only went up to 3000. Felt like I lost half an engine! Slowed, tried again same thing. Also noticed a vibration. Checked all the plug wires. Checked the plugs when I did the 10 hour service and they all looked good. 2002 90 Johnson with 35 hours. Any Ideas? Thanks, Stretch

Carbed or Ficht?

What have you done to isolate the problem?

JB, It's carbed. I haven't done anything yet. By the time I got back to the dock I was late for work. Plan on checking it out tomorrow. The only thing I can think of is that I got a bad power pack. And I don't know anything about the quickstart thing. Never owned a motor that was less than 13 years old. Stretch

More likely that you have a problem with rigging or fuel.Where is the selling dealer in all this, and why are you here instead of barking at them. You are under warranty if this unit was bought in the U.S. you know.
