Thinking About Purchasing--Advice Requested

I'm looking to purchase a kicker for my bass boat. Found a 2003 9.9 Johnson (J10RLYST) in my area. However, the motor has a "cracked piston." How involved would it be to replace (time, cost, etc)? Should I be looking for any other damage that the faulty piston may have caused?

Any other suggestions/considerations would be great. Thanks for the input.

complete rebuild, unless it is free, or almost, keep looking.
