HI Guys and Gal's

I am thinking of making a glass hardtop for my 18 footer
do you guys think it's worth it or is the boat too small

I do understand the weight distribution issue and all but was thinking of making it fairly light

I think you will not only regret the cost of such a project ... but in the long run regret the permanent design of a hard top.

I think a tubular T-top would be more appropriate for your boat.
You could add antenna mounts or rocket launchers without a problem.
Lace on a canvas (or acrylic) sunshade for protection.

How about taking that windshield mounted Bimini off and just getting a taller stand-alone Bimini. I think in the long run, Yacht Dr. is correct. I think you would eventually be unhappy with your decision, not to mention the potential impact to re-sale... But it's your boat M8, do with it what you will...
