...but pretty important for me to know!

Working on the restoration of an Arkansas Traveler Comet with a 1969 Evinrude 40hp Big Twin Lark. This is my first boat.

Is the Evinrude a 2 cycle or 4 cycle engine??? I really don't know! (kinda essential to know before I fire her up!)

If a 2 cycle, what ratio am I looking at? Pre-mix in the tank? No injection I presume (can't see an oil tank)

Its a 2 cylce. Needs oil with gas at 50:1

50:1 Pre-mix. TC-W3 2 cycle oil.
That is an electric shift lower unit that uses Type C gear oil.
Change the water pump impeller if you do not know how old it is.
