Got my new truck (not brand new) to pull my 27' cabin cruiser. Being the first time of using it would be pulling it out of the water at the end of the season.

I back the tri axle trailer down into the water. Get about half in and it stops. I gas it up and push the trailer further in. All seems okay. I go get the boat from the slip, and precedded to load it up on the trailer. Pulled it up the ramp without any problems except the boat wasn't sitting right on the bunks and wasn't far enough up on the trailer. So I back it back in and again it seemed to stop like I was hitting some submerged rocks. Other friends was telling me about a rockpile that was under the water and I thought that I was just backing over it since my tailer is longer than most that use this ramp.

Got everything lined back up and went to pull out. The ole diesel was struggling to pull it back out. Gave it some more throttle, belching out black smoke and truck is bogging down and not moving.

Got out of the truck a preceeded to get wet by going into the water to see what I was hung up on. Couldn't find anything.

Got back into the truck, put it into drive 1, released the emergency brake and it pulled out without a problem. Scratching my head trying to figure this one out. Then I realized I left the frigging parking brake on!

At least I know the parking brake will hold the power of the truck! Felt stupid all the way home and being misrable from being wet.....

SS
