Start with this map, most things right close by are small, 1 to 1 1/2 hours away is Lake Seminole, about 3 1/2 hours away is Panama City Beach, Gulf, due South approx 2 hours is Apalachee Bay, Gulf, approx 2 hours NW is Lake Eufala/Walter F George. I live in Mitchell County... Right next door on the north side. I don't know of any places in Thomas nor Mitchell counties; but there are plenty of places all around. Seminole, Eufala, Blackshear, The Gulf. The Atlantic, The Intracoastal Waterways. Seminole is close. You can access the ACF River System and take a trip to the Gulf and ICW from there. I've been planning to do that trip for the first time this coming spring. Let me know if you're interested. There's a thread on Boating Activities about the Chatahoochie started by AviatorJim.
