Re: Thoughts on Marada Boats

Miranda Boats were built by MIC, MARADA POWERBOATS, The company went out of business a few years ago.
The boat hulls are solidly built; however, the decks and transoms are notorious for rot since they were typically left unprotected at production. Most powerboats of this size have fiberglass reinforced decks and transoms but Miranda opted for exposed plywood covered with carpet.
You must check for soundness and if there is a hint of sponginess in any part of the boat you should either walk away or be prepared to spend a lot of money to rebuild the problem areas.

Hey All,

I'm looking at getting a different boat and found this one at a local place. I've never heard of Marada boats before and thought I could get some input from you all. It appears to be in pretty good shape and well taken care of.

I'd appreciate your thoughts!

Thanks!
Rob
