Thread Sealant question?

1. WHat sealant can be used, beside teflon tape, on the threads of a brass plug that goes into an aluminum Exhaust manifold?

2. Is there a need for a thread sealant to reattach the power stearing hoses to the steering body?

3. I am installing a remote oil filter. Any sealant on the threaded hose connections?

4. For the knock sensor and a brass plug for the other side of the engine. Teflon 1000?

Any pipe thread sealant

No, they are either flare or oring sealed.

Only if they are pipe thread.

4. For the knock sensor and a brass plug for the other side of the engine. Teflon 1000?

No sealer at all. and be very specific with the torque.
