Thread size for 15hp

Hi all, I have a 15hp Evinrude 1974 and I was wondering if anybody know the threads size of the bolt that goes in the Shift rod connector.

I would think it is 1/4-28

Size is 1/4-28 at least the box of 50 that I bought was 1/4-28 NF

Just curious as to why? Did it go sailing or something? It's special with a slot and hex. If you're picking up at hardware, make sure it's SS.
