My 1993 merc 135HPV6 has three threaded holes cast into the port transom bracket. These holes are on half round projections that stick out past the transom bolts.

The starboard transom bracket doesn't have these. Anyone know what these are for?

I originally thought that it was some sort of fitting for twin motor installation, but not sure about that.

Some kind of accessory, like power steering would bolt up nicely to the fittings. The parts list shows an accumulator, which seems to be Merc's term for power steering. It has the three bolt holes, that look to match.

Thanks.
