I have a 1960 18hp Evinrude Fastwin (#15032). Trying to connect my throttle and shift cables but am missing the little double U clips that attach to the side of the motor. Checked the schematic and couldn't find them. I think this is a pretty universal clip because I think most cables are the same... right? Just wondering what they are called so I can buy them. (There was some confusion at my local shop... I am not talking about where the throttle and shift cables actually attach to the throttle and shift... but where they attach further back on the motor.)

I think you could find used ones, they were used all over the place. Since I see what they are worth, I'am going to pull them off of my junk engines and horde them.

Yes. Thanks! Exactly what I am talking about.

... Agreed. 24$ for a pair seems exorbitant.

Any one out there have an extra set laying around they want to sell me on the cheep? :)
