Good Evening All.
I just replaced my control box ((OMC) 200 Johnson motor) with a new control box. I attempted to use the old cables. Everything hooked right up but I found when the throttle cable is not hooked to the motor it appears to work smooth. When I hook it up to the linkage it feels very bindy and gritty. I did have to change the adjustment on the throttle only the shifter matched right up. Is it possible there is corrosion inside of the cable causing the binding? But it did not with the old shifter. All of the motor linkage is free and moving smooth. Any suggestions
Thanks in advance
